The game
12 game types on 40 maps, 82 weapons and 12 forces, all Soldier Front's own, played by a reconstructed game and server.
Game types
Every game type of the original's waiting room, each played to its own rules by the server and drawn by the game: the objective under the clock, the pieces on the radar, the score tab with the type's own columns.
| Game type | How it plays | Goal (default) | Clock (default) | Maps |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Team Battle | teams; rounds; no respawn | 5 rounds to win | 3 min | 26 |
| Team Deathmatch | teams; one game; respawn | 100 points | 10 min | 34 |
| Single Battle | everyone for themselves; one game; respawn | 30 kills | 10 min | 34 |
| Sniper Mode | teams; one game; respawn | 30 kills | 10 min | 6 |
| Capture the Captain | teams; rounds; respawn | 5 rounds to win | 5 min | 34 |
| Captain Mode | teams; rounds; respawn | 5 rounds to win | 4 min | 34 |
| Horror Mode | teams; rounds; no respawn | 5 rounds | 4 min | 3 |
| Training | everyone for themselves; one game; respawn | none | 30 min | 35 |
| Team Slayer | teams; one game; respawn | 100 points | 10 min | 34 |
| Occupy | teams; rounds; no respawn | 5 rounds to win | 4 min | 1 |
| Horror Mode 2 | teams; rounds; no respawn | 5 rounds | 5 min | 2 |
| Pirate Mode | teams; one game; respawn | 150 points | 10 min | 1 |
The defaults are the game's own; the host of a room sets the goal and the clock within each type's range. Team Battle's mission comes from the map: Destroy (set the bomb at one of two sites; it goes off 35 seconds later unless it is made safe), Take Back (carry the item home), Escape (reach the zone), or Dual (either side carries one item to its own zone). On Destroy, Take Back and Escape maps the sides change over once in a game. The game types guide has every rule.

82 weapons: rifles, submachine guns, sniper rifles, machine guns, shotguns, pistols, knives and grenades. Their damage, rate of fire, recoil and spread are the game's own tables, and so are their scopes: how far each zooms, the picture you look through, how fast the aim turns while scoped. A scope goes straight to its full power; the AWP's alone goes in two steps.
A shot can go through a wall where the wall is thin enough: up to 60 cm for a sniper rifle, 48 for a machine gun, 40 for a rifle, 24 for a submachine gun and 20 for a pistol, losing damage the thicker the wall. The server measures every such shot itself. A kill through a wall has a mark of its own, Wall Shot, the one kill mark the original never had.
The lobby
The original's lobby, drawn from its own page layouts and art: the server list, the thirteen channels, the room list, Make Room and the waiting room with its two team panels.

In a match
The radar, the clock and the score, the original's kill marks, the radio in English, German, Korean or Spanish, bullet marks, spent cases, blood, grenades, smoke and flash-bangs. Third person when the room allows it, and a death card that says who killed you, with what, from how far and with how much health left.

The shop
SP is earned by playing and spent in the Weapon, Character and Item Shops. Guns rent for 7, 30 or 90 days or are bought for good, and every gun is as the game made it: nothing is fitted to it or added to it, so an M4A1 is the same M4A1 in everyone's hands. The capsule machine turns for capsule coins, with each capsule's odds on the screen. Sprays go on the wall, one a life.

Clans, friends and chat
A friend list of up to 100, whispers that wait in an inbox, and chat by lobby, room, team, clan or global. Clans have Owner, Co-Owner, Lieutenant, Member and Recruit ranks, are Open or Closed, keep a log, and wear an emblem: Soldier Front's own builder, or one of your own from the emblem maker, made in the game with nothing uploaded.

Rewards and events
A sign-in week, rewards for hours played, three quests a day, a Duffle Bag for every rank climbed, and events on the calendar with their own SP and XP bonuses, gift boxes and quests. Each box shows its odds before it is opened.

Replays
Every match is recorded on the server and kept 7 days. Anyone can have the recording of a match they played once it is over, keep it on their PC with a memo, and watch it again through a soldier's eyes or following them, winding it back and forth.
Places
The maps as they were made: their own baked light, their own hour, their own sky.
