Credits

The original game first, then this one.

Soldier Front

  • Dragonfly (Dragonfly GF Co., Ltd., Seoul) created and developed Special Force, released in Korea in July 2004 and published there by Neowiz (Pmang).
  • NHN USA opened it in North America as Soldier Front on ijji.com on 14 February 2007.
  • Aeria Games carried it on after buying ijji from NHN in 2011.
  • Its maps, weapons, soldiers, sounds, radio voices and lobby art are theirs. Soldier Front Legacy plays them from the game's own data.

Sources: Wikipedia's articles on Special Force (2004), Dragonfly and ijji, checked October 2026. Who at Dragonfly made it is not stated there, so it is not stated here.

Soldier Front Legacy

The game, the server, Team Vanilla's account service and this site are TeamVanilla's. The in-game credits (Options, Credits) also name the people who donated during development and the beta testers, as they carry their names on Discord.

Built with:

  • VanGUI, TeamVanilla's interface library, for every menu and dialog.
  • ANGLE (Google), which carries the OpenGL renderer.
  • stb (Sean Barrett) for images and compression, and minimp3 (lieff) for the game's MP3 sounds.
  • On Linux and macOS, the system's own libcurl for reaching Team Vanilla.

The community

Players meet on the Soldier Front Legacy Discord, where Team Vanilla's staff also answer for forgotten passwords. TeamVanilla's own is here.
