SOLDIER FRONT LEGACY FOR LINUX
==============================

These are Soldier Front Legacy's own files, without the Soldier Front game data: the game plays the
data of your own Soldier Front installation (copied from Windows as it is).

Unpack this archive into your Soldier Front folder: the one holding the data folder, or the Client
folder that holds it. Nothing of Soldier Front's own is replaced.

  tar xzf SoldierFrontLegacy-Linux.tar.gz -C "/path/to/Soldier Front/Client"

Then run ./legacysf there. Nothing is installed. Kept anywhere else, it finds the data in
~/.config/legacysf/data, or start it with ./legacysf --data <the data folder>.

  legacysf the game (x86-64), with This PC (a server of your own) inside it
  Content/                          its own few files
  SoldierFrontLegacy-README.txt     this file
  SoldierFrontLegacy-VERSION.txt    its build and protocol
  SoldierFrontLegacy-files.sha256 each of these files and its SHA-256

It needs a 64-bit PC with glibc 2.28 or newer (Debian 10, Ubuntu 18.10, Fedora 29, RHEL 8 and later), an
X11 desktop or Wayland with XWayland, an OpenGL ES 3 graphics driver (Mesa's, or NVIDIA's own) and
libcurl. Sound goes out through ALSA, which PulseAudio and PipeWire desktops provide. If the game lost
its permission to run on the way: chmod +x legacysf

Sign in with a Team Vanilla account (make one in the game), pick a server from the list, play.
"This PC" on the list plays on your own machine: friends on your network can join you there;
nothing played on it counts toward your rank, record or SP.

Your settings and saved sign-in are kept in ~/.config/legacysf; the packs you have downloaded
from servers, in ~/.cache/legacysf.
